Words by Gabriel Spadaccini
The track – which was co-written by English singer-songwriter James Bay (of ‘Hold Back The River’ fame) – features vocals from Irish rock band Kodaline, as well as a beautiful acoustic guitar riff that ties the song’s wide range of dynamics together. Sure, there are still the signature Kygo elements (4/4 kick drums, soaring synth melodies, etc.) but the track is a clear indication that from here on out, the producer’s music will be anything but predictable.
Listen to the track below. May 13th and Cloud Nine can’t come fast enough.
