Along with all the dates and venues for you to mark in your calendars – which you can see in full below – they have announced the first acts that’ll be joining the party in 2018. The first international to be heading Down Under is Mac DeMarco, who’ll be returning to the festival again following the release of his album This Old Dog earlier this year. You might remember that DeMarco appeared at Laneway alongside his mother Agnes, who acted as the festival’s MC in 2015.
Secondly, we have hip-hop prodigy Anderson.Paak, who’ll be bringing his lively show with The Free Nationals to Laneway after the release of his 2016 album Malibu. Having previously visited Australia for Listen Out and One Day Only festival, the West Coast talent will be gracing Laneway for the first time in 2018.
The announcements follow some cryptic clues posted to Laneway’s Facebook page yesterday evening, which has punters guessing that everyone from Frank Ocean to Lana Del Rey will be joining us in 2018. See their headache-inducing post below and see if you can decipher any acts:
Regardless, it’s a big start with two huge internationals now locked in for Laneway – let’s wait and see who else they’ve got on their radar. In the meantime, see all the crucial details below:
