Over the past few years, Lara Andallo has joined the millions streams club, been the go-to tour support for some massive international artists, toured throughout Asia, and amassed a small army of followers. Why? Well today’s release ‘High Standards’ is a pretty strong example of what she’s capable of.
Sensual, venomous and club-ready, the track represents a call to arms for everyone who’s been treated poorly by someone who really isn’t worth their times – you know the ones. Lara’s flow is flawless as she vibrates between smooth verses and anthemic choruses over an 808 beat and guitar.
“Writing this song made me feel so empowered, it felt like taking back my power again after being in situations that, over time, make you forget your worth & standards. When we landed on ‘I got heels higher than your standards’ I knew exactly where I wanted to take the song.”
The accompanying video is a washed-out VHS piece that drips with steeze as we follow Lara on a night in the club where she exhibits extreme (and extremely justified) main-character energy. It feels like you’re tagging along on a bender with Lara and co, only without the hangover:

The release also comes with the news that a new EP, NOT RN! is around the corner featuring not only this track but previous bangers ‘NOT RN!’ and ‘OBSESSED’. Stay tuned and stream ‘High Standards’ here.
