Rising R&B firecracker Lara Andallo is bringing the goods today with the double release of her new single ‘when the lights go out’ and her Instagram live show Girls Night In. Tonight, she’ll be joined by fellow Aussie vocalists: A.GIRL, Becca Hatch and Ms. Thandi. Word on the street says it’ll be a chill sesh – expect wine, pizza, sing-a-longs. It’s the coolest pyjama party you’ll ever be invited to.
Her new single ‘when the lights go out’ is another juicy number that has us missing those dizzy nights out. Like all of Lara’s music, it just makes you want to let your hair down and get freestyling. Once again, this song glows with confidence. Lara’s passionate vocals and rhythmic beat is bringing us the heat we needed to spice up our lonely nights.
For Lara, this isn’t your corny Hallmark card love song. She reads between the lines, “During the day, our mind is occupied, and we’re distracted by everything going on around us. But once we’re in bed, “when the lights go out”, is really when our insecurities & doubts come out, and we actually have to be alone with our thoughts.”
This may be a song for after dark, red-eye blowouts. But it also, just as easily, can be your new morning jam to get you out from under the covers and light some fire in your heart. There’s no better way to start that flame than by tapping into a little bit of Lara’s tireless energy. Even isolation won’t slow her down. She tells us, “I’m actually super excited to be more innovative in the way I connect online, perform and make videos.” Well, if her new single is anything to go by, the future is gonna be burning bright for Lara Andallo.

Don’t forget the popcorn and maybe a bottle (or two) of red. Before you go, here’s a few words from Lara on what this show means to her, “I wanted to support my girls and come together to lift everyone up. Especially at a time where we can feel pretty alone and disconnected from everyone.”
