Calling into Jimmy Fallon’s late show overnight, R&B superstar John Legend broadcasted a whole heap of Christmas spiritover the airwaves. Connecting ‘What Christmas Means To Me’, a song made famous by Stevie Wonder’s 1967 version, with ‘Bring Me Love’, a song from his forthcoming album Legendary Christmas, the crooner delivers a performance capable of putting a smile on the face of even the most grinchiest of people.
“Every Christmas, the season will come along and I’m like, ‘Why don’t I have a Christmas album out right now?’”, Legend said on the show. “But you can’t make it in December, you got to make it in April, May, June, July — and the label makes you release it in October, because the adult contemporary stations start playing it the day after Halloween.”
