One of the Britain’s most magnetic musicians, Liam Gallagher has confirmed that he’ll be appearing at this year’s edition of Falls Festival.

As the frontman for Oasis, Liam was the voice behind some of the world’s most timeless sing-a-longs, while his unpredictable behaviour and forever quotable comments have kept him at the forefront of the press since. Following on from singles like ‘Wall Of Glass’ and ‘Chinatown,’ he’s preparing for the release of his debut solo album As You Were this October, and he’s just confirmed that he’ll be spending New Year’s Eve in Australia as part of Falls Festival.

Speaking to GQ Australia, Gallagher spoke about a friend who lives in Wagga Wagga, saying that “it’s like the New York of Australia [laughs]. Every time I’ve been out there, it’s been cool. And we’re coming out there, doing the Falls Festival. So, we’re gonna be there for New Year’s Eve. So I can’t wait, man –
love it. It’s beautiful. I’m bringing me two boys out as well, they’re at the age now where they can come and travel.”

“They’re mad for this stoner cartoon, The Big Lez Show. It’s like
a fucking Australian Cheech and Chong. They love a bit of that Australian vibe,” he continued.

Falls Festival takes place in Lorne, Byron Bay and Marion Bay over the New Year transition, and with Liam Gallagher now locked in, the remainder of the lineup will drop tomorrow, Tuesday August 22nd. Stay tuned, and shouts to Wagga Wagga:
