Following a stellar return to form in 2022, Listen Out music festival is coming back with a vengeance in 2023, and today they’ve announced the full lineup for this year’s iteration. Taking place in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney at the end of September, the festival is pulling out all the stops as it celebrates its tenth anniversary, hosting a lineup of international and local artists from across the dance, hip hop and pop spectrums.
Headlined by producer Skrillex, the EDM lord will return to the country for the first time since his iconic set at Listen Out 2018 (the way he built up ‘Bangarang’ at that year’s festival will always be a core memory). Joining him is none other than Four Tet, who’s currently operating at the height of his powers following a mammoth world tour. Together, along with UK producer Fred Again.., the two have been taking the world by storm as of late, taking their critically-acclaimed live show around the world and closing the hallowed Coachella music festival just weeks ago.
On the hip hop front, Listen Out has once again gone all out, with the likes of JPEGMAFIA, Lil Uzi Vert, Kenny Beats and more all appearing on the bill. Rounding things off is a swathe of local artists from around the country, with homegrown legends like Ayebatonye, Willo, Young Franco, Mallrat and more all representing on home turf.
And in accordance with previous years, the festival will feature three distinct stages for all attendees, with Atari hosting the best in hip hop, while the 909 Stage will keep the crowd moving with exhilarating dance acts. Finally, the Prophet Stage will showcase the very best and brightest in cutting-edge electronic and house, and just going off last year’s list of Prophet artists, we’re guessing we’re going to be spending a whole lot of time there come this September.
Speaking of stages, the hallowed, Listen Out is set to return to its familiar stomping grounds in Brisbane, Sydney, and Perth. However, it will be venturing into a new venue in Melbourne’s captivating Caribbean Gardens. With an abundance of space, an easy-to-navigate layout, better views of the stage, and convenient access with ample parking and shuttle buses from the train station, the new location promises to elevate the festival experience to new heights. Coupled with the significance of the festival’s tenth birthday, Listen Out 2023 is shaping up to be an unforgettable celebration of music, creativity, and community. Sold yet? Tickets go on sale from midday this Thursday via www.listenout.com.au or www.moshtix.com.au. For now, check out the full lineup and dates for Listen Out 2023 below.
