Lorde has dropped the third track from her highly-anticipated sophomore album Melodrama, arriving in our earholes in exactly a fortnight.

Following on from ‘Green Light’ and ‘Liability,’ the New Zealand songstress has now dropped ‘Perfect Places,’ an ethereal pop number defined by its larger-than-life, swirling hook. We’re sure that this is going to be a live favourite when Melodrama drops on June 16 – we can practically see the sing-a-longs already.

To celebrate the release of Melodrama, Universal Music Australia, Spotify and Nightlife Music will be joining forces to host a national listening party, where the album will be streamed live in 50 venues across the country. If you happen to be around town on June 16, then there’s a good chance that you’ll be hearing Lorde’s new material.

Following on from the release, Lorde will be visiting Australia for a gig at Nova’s Red Room on July 6. The exclusive show will serve as one of the first ways to experience Melodrama live – Nova listeners can tune in to find out how they can win tickets to the private event, while Optus customers and hopefuls can score some right here.
