With Lorde’s highly-anticipated new album Melodrama arriving on June 16, her recent performance at Coachella was the perfect opportunity to reveal some surprises – and the New Zealand pop sensation delivered.

Lorde treated the audience to three new tracks – ‘Homemade Dynamite,’ ‘Sober’ and ‘Melodrama’ – with the former already being compared by some newspapers to her 2012 mega-smash, ‘Royals.’ The previews follow the official release of Melodrama tracks ‘Green Light‘ and ‘Liability,’ both of which have garnered a warm reception from fans. The wait has been long, but it sounds like it’ll be worth it.

Shortly following the release of Melodrama, Lorde has announced an intimate headline show in Sydney at Nova’s Red Room. The radio station’s exclusive gig series has previously hosted everybody from Ed Sheeran to Taylor Swift to Tinashe, and Lorde will be touching Down Under for the event on July 6. It will mark the first time that she has performed in Australia since 2014, and will see her perform selections from Melodrama.
