Lorde, the ever-so talented and mysterious pop star hasn’t released new music in a couple years now, 2017 seeing the release of her mega-smash Melodrama much to the world’s delight. We’ve been waiting patiently since then, praying we get some new content from the trailblazer that we can obsess over for months/years on end. Well, we’re definitely getting some new content, but it’s probably not what you were thinking.

You might remember the story of the kiwi pop star having an onion ring review Instagram account way back in 2017, opening up on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon about the reasoning behind it and her ultimate choice to take it down, saying “Now everyone knows about it and it’ll feel like something I’m doing to crave fame, then people are gonna be throwing onion rings at me on tour and it was gonna turn into a whole thing. It was fun for like five seconds, but I’m still going to keep eating onion rings.”

She stuck to her word, and Lorde’s last post on the account was on June 12, 2017. But now, she and her account have made the ultimate comeback, reviewing numerous onion rings over the weekend. She also took the time to open up on how running the account way back in 2017 affected her relationship with food, writing “I’ve got to be honest with you, this reviewer stopped ordering onion rings after her identity was leaked to the press in the great debacle of 2017. I’d get a smile and a wink from waitstaff– it got embarrassing, you know? But it occurred to me that some things are too good to let the internet spoil.”

Well, let’s hope no one fucks with Lorde or her onion rings any time soon, or they’ll have us to answer to. Check out her recent onion ring reviews below.
