It had been rumoured for days but now we can confirm Lost Paradise has been cancelled due to bushfires.

Organisers of Lost Paradise Festival have taken to Twitter this morning to announce that this year’s festival has been cancelled due to the “intense and unpredictable fire conditions that are sadly expected to deteriorate in the coming days”. Undoubtedly the festival’s cancellation – it was 95% sold out – has left many ticketholders searching for that New Year’s festival/party experience.

With estimates of 20,000 people turning out in Sydney’s CBD yesterday to protest the Ssate and Federal Government’s lack of action on the current climate crisis and lack of support for Rural Fire Services, it seems that fires will be further pushed into the spotlight by this cancellation.
