The international export’s debut album What I Breathe is only weeks away…

Newcastle-born producer phenom, Mall Grab (real name Jordon Alexander) is continuing to electrify the global dance scene with each and every release, and his latest single ‘Breathing’ is another example of his affinity for crafting sonics full of lush euphoria.

Driven forward by a pounding kick and chant-like vocals, the opening of the track sets a dark and brooding tone rife for textural explosion. Such an instance occurs once the tune’s breaks section makes its way in, building anticipation as subtle risers and inflections lay way for a quintessential Mall Grab drum-line.

The track as a whole is definitely a journey through the dance ionosphere, a terrain which is set to be fully traversed in the producer’s upcoming debut album What I Breathe, out August 5th. Speaking on the highly-anticipated record and the ethos behind it, the London-based maestro explains, “There are a lot of familiar sounds on this album that my listeners and followers have become accustomed to and joined me in the deep dive. Elements of emotional but hard and pumping club music are intertwined with House, Jungle, Rave and Grime.

“My adopted home city of London has been a huge inspiration to how my music has evolved and progressed, and on What I Breathe I wanted to create a body of work which not only had something for everyone who has been with me the past 6 years, but also those who aren’t yet aware of what I’m about or the music I make.”
