Sydney’s beloved Lansdowne Hotel is returning tonight with a roar, and the musical lineup is pretty bloody huge.

Members from some Sydney’s most renowned acts will be fusing together in spectacular fashion to form a supergroup simply called A Band – featuring members of Sticky Fingers, The Preatures & The Delta Riggs. Amongst the special guests will be Sam from The Rubens, Hayley from The Jezabels, and Joyride from the One Day crew. Basically, this is a big ol’ onstage jam that’ll see mates and collaborators banding together like never before to celebrate The Lansdowne.

“The band dedication the first waltz at the fresh lookin’ Lansdowne brought to you by local bogans Jake and Kenny. Live music, poizza, upstairs smoke yard and the kids get in free before dark. Come on down and make history,” Freddy Crabs tells us.

Run by the team behind Mary’s and The Unicorn Hotel, the freshly resurrected Lansdowne will have an emphasis on live music, spanning two levels with absolutely zero pokies. The interior also features Playboy covers which have been re-appropriated by Sydney artist Jess Cochrane.

Tonight’s mammoth lineup is just the beginning – The Lansdowne will be unveiling big musical guests all weekend long to celebrate their launch, so stay tuned to see who’ll be dropping by.
