Mercury Hard Cider And Lime Cordiale Are Bringing Live Music To Your Living Room
Along with some fresh talent.
May 19, 2020

Mercury Rising is unearthing some of Australia’s coolest emerging acts over May and June.

There aren’t too many bands in the Australian music landscape that have had a journey quite like Lime Cordiale. Getting their start in little bars and RSLs on Sydney’s Northern Beaches back in 2009, they slowly but surely built their audience, eventually becoming one of the country’s favourite acts. A fact, proven by their recent success in triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2019 which saw them place four songs in the countdown.

Naturally, the duo – brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach – know a thing or two about grinding it out in the industry, having worn that next-big-thing badge for a long time before eventually breaking through. This makes them the perfect hosts for Mercury Hard Cider’s new series Mercury Rising.

Over May and June, Mercury Rising will take you into the living rooms of three up-and-coming bands: Bread Club, ARCHIE and Pyjama Sundayz. Each of these acts will drop a set that includes a Lime Cordiale cover, before handing it back over to Oli and Louis who’ll perform a tune themselves. It’s your chance to catch the next big things in the Aussie scene, backed up by an epic headliner without having to leave your living room.

“We are excited to be a part of Mercury Rising. We’ve always been passionate about supporting emerging talent through projects like our mini-festival The Squeeze, so we jumped at the chance to be a part of this initiative,” Lime Cordiale says.

The series kicks off this Friday at 6pm on Mercury Hard Cider’s Facebook with Sydney indie-funksters Bread Club doing their thing, including a cover of Lime Cordiale’s ‘Addicted To Sunshine’ from their forthcoming record 14 Steps To A Better You (due out July 10).
