Definitely put a spring in our step…

In an unlikely team-up that we’re not at all mad at, Rolling Stones & Foo Fighters frontmen Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl have linked up for a blaring new track ‘Eazy Sleazy,’ aiming to give fans a little hope for life in the post-pandemic world.

The tune sees Jagger really sing about all the hallmarks and tropes of lockdown & pandemic life, with lyrics revolving around Zoom calls, feeling imprisoned within his home, the eeriness of fake studio applause, and watching too much TV (was definitely true when Tiger King came out last year). But of course, the tune has plenty of hope too, with Jagger singing of a future of “garden of earthly delights” that await all moulds following this absolute shitstorm of a pandemic.

Speaking on the tune and the feelings behind it, Jagger explained “It’s a song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much-needed optimism. Thanks to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass, and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with him. Hope you all enjoy ‘Eazy Sleazy.’”

Dave Grohl definitely steps up on the tune, playing various instrumental layers while engaging in some wicked head bangs in the video. Speaking on working with Jagger on the track, the Foo Fighters frontman said “It’s hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir Mick means to me. It’s beyond a dream come true. Just when I thought life couldn’t get any crazier……and it’s the song of the summer, without a doubt!!”

Without a doubt. Check it out below.
