Possibly the hardest track the South Australian producer has ever released…

Never one to box himself in or serve up the expected, homegrown producer Motez has today released a hard-hitting new single. Titled ‘Be Prepared’, the first offering of 2023 from the eclectic maestro fuses the worlds of grime and techno for a high-energy banger that is impossible not to get amped up by.

Comprised of a driving kick, warbly guitar lines and some incredibly satisfying drum sequences, the soundscape Motez crafts on the new record is tight and cohesive. But what is most notable about the new creation is just how much energy it packs within each bar, with this being most embodied in that punchy lead vocal, “F*ck my life I had to be prepared”. The lyrics as a whole definitely drive home the rawness of the cut, helping it to capture the magic of ’90s rave juxtaposed with new-age production techniques.
