The hip hop stars are on the search for the next big name in the genre.

Last night at Cardi B’s fans got their first taste of Rhythm + Flow, with the first teaser dropping during her set at Philadelphia’s Made In America festival, as reported on Stereogum. From what we can garner from the trailer, which features Cardi, Chance, and T.I., it’s looking something like The Voice or American Idol but with the flashy trappings of hip hop and the big budget of Netflix.

The first episode of the 10-part series, which features auditions, rap battles, cyphers, collaborations and (eventually) the crowning of the next big thing in hip hop, is hitting screens October 9th.
