Is there anything they can’t/won’t do?

It seems that the volcano of entertainment that is Aussie punk outfit These New South Whales is once again about to explode into the eyes and ears of unsuspecting punters around the country. The band, who also have a hilarious mockumentary series and a cheeky podcast, are now coming at us with a brand new Rove-style talk show, TNSW Tonight.

What can we expect to see this show you ask? A range of influential celebrity and musical guests including the band’s fictional manager The Bearded Pelvis, plus live music from the quartet themselves. On paper, it’s a trainwreck waiting to happen, which is exactly why we’ll be tuning in when the first ep goes live on YouTube this Tuesday at 9pm.

“We can’t wait to thrust ourselves into this iconic television format. I’ve always admired Rove McManus and now I get to be him. I hope your wig has a chin strap, because your haircut’s coming off!” frontman Jamie Timony says.

In other TNSW news, the group have just released single ‘Broken System’ – their first new music since 2019’s I Just Do What God Tells Me To Do. It’s a thumping protest against the powers that be and the effects of colonialism, capitalism and environmental destruction. If TNSW Tonight is a quarter as strong as this track (which it surely will be), we’re in for a real good show. Don’t ignore them, or you will pay… Double!
