Last year, we crammed in with the crowds to catch a little bit of rock and roll, many, many beers, and some tasty bites, and this year will be no different, with Young Henrys and The Courty curating an awesome lineup for our favourite Inner-West love fest.
Taking over Eliza Street on Saturday the Newtown Street Party promises an afternoon packed with live music, great food, and cold tinnies. Running from 1pm to 8pm, this is a completely free event with donations at the door supporting the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre encouraged.
This year’s outdoor stage features a stacked lineup of local talent, headlined by Caitlin Harnett and The Pony Boys. Also taking the stage are Velvet Trip, the OG Red Wiggle Murray Cook with a special DJ set, Good Pash, The Melodrones, Maia Toakley, The Soul Movers, and JJ Geary and the Tennessee Three.

Drinks will be flowing thanks to Young Henrys, with their Newtowner beer celebrating its 13th birthday. Foodies can tuck into porchetta rolls from The Bank Hotel, burgers from The Courty, and woodfired pizzas from Public House Petersham, alongside plenty of pop-up bars and street food stalls.
Make sure you get down early as this will pack out.
