Coming in hot from the small coastal town of Yamba, Nocturnal Tapes’ music is described as ‘psychedelic electronica’ – and their latest swirling, pulsating number lives up to that tag with dancefloor friendly results. Their eclectic sound, and live show consisting of synths and live instruments has seen them support a broad range of Australia’s finest, including Boo Seeka, Yahtzel, Bootleg Rascal, Tash Sultana and more.
On the meaning behind the single, Harry Suttor of the group says “‘Is It Too Late’ is a reflection across a spectrum of missed opportunities. But rather than self loathing, described in the first half of the song, the end explores looking inward to see beyond these mistakes, with renewed confidence and certainty.”
Listen to the single here, and expect lots more from Nocturnal Tapes this year, with an EP set to drop in mid-2017:
