Fresh off his unexpected collaboration with Daniel Johns, What So Not has clued us into all of the details for his first full-length. The former Silverchair frontman is just one high-profile guest on the record, with like-minded bass experts like Skrillex and Slumberjack also making cameos. And curiously enough, after dropping their timeless sing-a-long single ‘Africa’ in his sets, What So Not has actually nabbed an official collaboration with rock veterans Toto.
Furthermore, the record also sees What So Not steer the creative ship in all of his output. “More than an album, it’s a fully realised artistic statement in which What So Not is in full control of every aspect, from the stage design and visuals to the music videos and merchandise,” a statement on the project reads.
The record, which has been three years in the making, will finally be revealed in full on March 9 through local label Sweat It Out. Along with the announcement, What So Not has dropped another gem off the album, titled ‘Stuck In Orbit.’ The track was co-written by Jono Ma (of Jagwar Ma) and features the unmistakable vocals of BUOY:
