With just two more sleeps until ‘Ye releases his ninth solo studio album, excitement levels are reaching fever pitch with emotional exhaustion probably not too far behind.

It’s been a long time coming after the album that never was ‘Yandhi’ failed to materialise in 2018, followed by a string of delays and misguided release dates around ‘Jesus Is King’ last month. The latest release date, slated for this Friday, is starting to feel pretty concrete though with Kanye kicking off the week by hopping on Twitter for the first time since New Years’ Day.

As you might expect, this sent twitter into overdrive as fans eagerly awaiting the project started to let themselves believe it’s finally happening. Accompanying the release, ‘Jesus Is King – A Film By Kanye West’, is a BTS look at the making of the album and in typical ‘Ye fashion, he’s premiering both the album and the film at an exclusive listening and viewing at The Forum in Los Angeles later today.

‘Jesus Is King’ will be showing at IMAX cinemas around the world starting this Friday, 25 October. In Aussie terms, that means it’s just our Melbourne friends who will be able to catch the flick for now – if you are in Melbourne this weekend though, peep session times via the link. You can also check out the trailer below and whet your appetite further for the ‘Sunday Service’ vibes set to land on Friday.
