It’s been one hell of a ride for Kwame.

In what may have been an act of God, the Sydney emcee was randomly plucked from the crowd to freestyle onstage with ASAP Ferg back in 2016, putting him on the radar for many local rap listeners, including us. Since then, he’s developed a rambunctious live reputation – whether solo or with his trusty Savour The Rations collective – sharing the stage with Migos,  Wiley and his own more intimate (and more sweaty) club appearances.

Following up from last year’s Lesson Learned EP, Kwame has now announced his sophomore effort Endless Conversations, set to drop on March 23rd. Ahead of the release, he’s shared the lead single from the project titled ‘WOW’ which is being premiered online right here, before it hits triple j tonight. Impressively, the track was also produced by Kwame, who builds a bass-heavy monster of an instrumental around a dainty Kalimba drumline.

Kwame delivers playful braggadocio on the mic, making this a track that sits somewhere between a slice of summertime fun and a fierce mission statement. Alongside collaborators like Raj Mahal and Phil Fresh, Kwame has already proven himself to be one of the city’s best emerging hip-hop prospects – and we’re excited to see what moves he makes after Endless Conversations drops.
