The Pitts are getting emotional.

Just a couple of weeks after dropping their wondrous track about growing up, ‘Dreamer’, Newcastle trio The Pitts have returned with another slice of nostalgia that’s even more potent than the vindaloo from Darby Raj.

‘Rosina’s’ is a seven-minute waltz through the life and friendships of frontman James Drinkwater, who has clearly reached a point in his life where he’s examining the people around him and how they’ve shaped who he is today.

“It’s a song for all of our brothers from another mothers… and all the in betweeners,” the band says. “It’s raw. It’s heartfelt. It’s a reflection of the people who have shaped our journey so far. We had an incredible time recording this one with our mate Sean Cook from Novotone Studios.”

“As we grow older, we start to appreciate the ones who truly mean something the ones who’ve been there through thick and thin. To all of you who have made an impact in our lives… this one’s for you. We love you all. X X”

Over the course of the track, you begin to realise – with Drinkwater’s unfiltered vocals and improvisational tone – that this song feels like a drunken toast. It’s a loved-up (and maybe liquored-up) version of saying: thanks for coming to the party, I hope you had a good time too.
