The pigtails are well and truly gone…
For as long as we can remember LA superstar Post Malone has always had a distinctive look, his signature pig tails, scruffy beard and face tattoos setting him apart from his contemporaries in a major way. However, the last couple of years have seen him dial it back a bit (on the hair side anyway), slowly cutting his hair while adding numerous tattoos to his head at the same time. His latest move saw him shuffle down that path even further, debuting a shaved head and new ink on his scalp.
Taking to Insta, the hip hop superstar shared a dimly-lit pic of his hair completely gone, with a tattoo of a skull above his right ear. He captioned the post (no pun intended) with “I have cut my hair even shorter, also skeletons are cool. Spread your heart as much as you can. A little love goes farther than you think. Stay strong, and keep kicking ass. Love, Austin.”
The LA native definitely has a special relationship with the good old ink, confessing in an interview earlier this year that it comes from a place of insecurity, stating “It does maybe come from a place of insecurity, to where I don’t like how I look, so I’m going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, ‘You look cool, kid,’ and have a modicum of self-confidence, when it comes to my appearance.” Regardless, he more than rocks it. Props to him for doing what he wants style-wise and not caring about the rest.
