Hop in the Hot Apple time machine.

If your ears are tuned to folk-rock frequencies, you’ll possibly have heard Hot Apple Band before. The group, which is led by Jack Kinder and Lewis Mosley, have been doing the rounds under previous moniker Noodle House serenading occupants of Inner West pubs and clubs with the sweetest of heartfelt rock and roll for a few years now.

Today they return with the third taste from their forthcoming record So Long, Noodle House, ‘Changing’. Paying homage to the likes of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and George Harrison, the duo offer another lush serenade brimming with cruisey melodies and tasty harmonic texture.

Kinder grapples with that feeling of being left behind as people move on an move out of his life in the lyrics – a sentiment that nearly every young adult will have experienced at some stage in their life. “We probably wrote this song in 2019 after I bought a 12 string for a steal from a pawn shop,” he says. “I remember walking past the shop window on a night out and doing a double take when I saw how much they were asking for it, so I sprinted back hungover in the morning and bought it. We stuck the 12 string in open tuning, which really got this track going.”

The group have today been announced to support Tex Crick and Sylvie (USA) at The House of Music and Booze on Dec 14th, presented by Jet Black Cat Music, on top of appearing at the annual Thirroul Music Festival on December 3rd alongside Folk Bitch Trio, Shining Bird and more.

‘Changing’ is out October 18th via Third Eye Stimuli Records and Earth Libraries (USA/Canada) with the album, So Long, Noodle House set for release on November 24th, dig into it below and head here to follow Hot Apple Band on Instagram:
