Sydney’s Korky Buchek have been earning a reputation as one of the country’s best party-starting duos when they step behind the decks.

Whether it’s festival stages like Mountain Sounds and The Plot, warming things up for heavy-hitters like What So Not and LDRU, or DJing for local rap heavyweights like Kwame and Raj Mahal; Korky Buchek have been getting dancefloors rumbling with conviction. And while they feel completely at home dropping bangers onstage, they’ve also been putting in time in the studio and building their production portfolio – which has birthed their latest single, ‘Wanna Know.’

‘Wanna Know’ finds them enlisting the vocals of Dofu for an eloquent dance number that’ll sound best when it’s played poolside this summer. While it doesn’t have the immediacy of their rumbling singles like ‘Stick & Move’ and ‘All On You,’ the duo have shown once again that they can craft subdued sounds with success.

“‘Wanna Know’ is a collaborative number, coming together through various sit downs over tea and biscuits,” Korky Buchek say. “At first we didn’t know what would come of this track, then we chatted to Dofu more about it and decided it was too good to archive… Now, it’s a groovy and soulful number that we’re all super stoked with.”
