PALS give us a heavy new track from their forthcoming sophomore album to help shake off the weekday blues.

Hailing from the hometown of Silverchair, Andrew Johns and the giant penis tower; Newcastle post-punk/rock outfit PALS have been at it non-stop since their formation in 2015. After releasing their first EP Spring and their debut full length in-between, they’ve earned support slots with some of the biggest names in punk/rock in the country such as Skeggs, WAAX, These New South Whales and British India, which goes to show the four-piece are quickly building momentum in the Aussie scene.

Today they are giving us ‘Consumed,’ the first taste of their forthcoming LP and it’s got everything we’ve come to love about the band – heavy guitars, gritty vocals and big hooks. We can already imagine how sweetly this one is going to down in sweaty, beer-soaked mosh-pits around the country when the lads take it on the road.

It’s not all fuzzy strings and wailing though, the track also has plenty of substance behind it as singer Conor Kelly addresses a subject that all of us have probably felt at some point. “‘Consumed’ was written in the back half of last year and deals with trying to overcome social anxiety,” Conor says.

You can catch PALS when they hit the road for the following dates:

Friday May 11 – The Unicorn Hotel – Sydney
Wednesday May 16 – Rad Bar and Cafe – Wollongong
Friday May 18 – The Cambridge Hotel – Newcastle
