For Aussie fans of LA punks Together PANGEA, the good news keeps coming. Having just landed in on the shores of our sunburnt country, the four-piece have also dropped a new tune ‘Misunderstood’ for our listening pleasure. The track, which is a b-side from their latest LP Bulls and Roosters, is a fast paced, surf-flavoured number that has got us pumped for their tour kicking off tonight.
“The song is about getting the hell out of the suburbs. We grew up in a pretty conservative suburb of Los Angeles with a lot of raised-truck bros and just shitty energy. I still visit to see my family but being back there always kind of gives me the creeps,” frontman William Keegan says.

For anyone who’s been following the group (that have been tearing it up in the States for nearly a decade) the prospect of seeing them live is next-level exciting, though it sounds like the band is equally eager for the upcoming shows. They even covered The Kinks’ tune ‘Australia’ in an extremely low budget but effective promo video.
“We’ve been dying to tour Australia for a long time. We’ve heard it’s a great place to play because everyone just wants to have fun, mosh and stage dive. We’re also very stoked to play some shows with our brother Alex Wall and his band Bleeding Knees Club on their home turf,” William says.
Catch Together PANGEA as they whip around the country with their BFFs Bleeding Knees Club over the next couple of weeks. It’s kicking off on the Westside tonight with support from local lords Good Doogs (tickets and info here).
