Rae Sremmurd’s breakout success in 2014 was largely defined by their ability to create turn-up anthems made purely for the clubs and weekend shenanigans – and they stick with the formula on their new single ‘Start A Party’.

If it wasn’t evident from the title, this song isn’t the most in-depth rap offering out there – but it’ll make you feel fantastic and drink copious amounts of liquor. The accompanying video is a step-by-step guide on how to ‘Start A Party’ – featuring lots of fire, red cups and endless close-up twerking from curvaceous attendees. Still, we’ve never been to a house party quite like this, but we’re hoping that we cop an invite next to Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi decide to head back Down Under, with their last visit taking place at Listen Out 2015.

The single is taken from their recently-released album Sremmlife 2, which hosts party jams as well as songs contemplating their relatively newfound success. “It sounds different because we’ve never been rich; we’ve never had this much money before. I got a chain, and it got big diamonds on it. I ain’t never had a real diamond on anything. That’s something I can talk about now, and I have it, so I can really tell you about it. That’s what SremmLife 2 is. It’s after having done things and experienced new things, and making new music,” Slim said.

Both members of Rae Sremmurd recently announced their respective solo projects, but ‘Start A Party’ should be enough to hold you over until they reconvene once more. Play this track extremely loud and make sure you’re the most rambunctious and obnoxious party-starter this weekend:
