Over the weekend the Bodega Collective rapper dropped the latest single from his forthcoming album

‘No Suckers’ is another bass-heavy, genre-defying effort that reflects Raj Mahal’s desire to explore more of his experimental and unique sound. On the track, Raj consolidates his identity conditioned by the streets of Boston while also influenced by the fresh perspective of Western Sydney creativity. There’s a refined aggression in his delivery throughout the song as he issues an ominous warning for any rappers running scams and not truly representing their reality through their music – a message which he gets across with help from fellow Savour The Rations kin, frequent collaborator, and prolific underground producer DOMBA. It’s raw, unfiltered and 100% on-brand from an artist consistently putting out hard-hitting and matter-of-fact verses.

Shot and directed by Chris Anderson, Raj stars in a number of unsettling roles throughout the black-and-white clip, playing a restrained torture victim, both sides of an interrogation table and later a death row inmate living out his final moments in the electric chair. Check out the new video below, and stay glued for details on Raj Mahal’s upcoming album.
