When asked about her thoughts on the Canadian megastar presenting her the Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs in 2016, she specified that it made her uncomfortable. She explained, “I don’t like too many compliments, I don’t like to be put on blast.” When pressed further about their relationship presently, she stated:
“We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”
This surprising news comes after numerous rumours of the pair dating in the past. They also produced a string of highly successful collaborations, such as Take Care, What’s My Name and as recently as her single Work from the critically and commercially lauded album, ANTI. The two have been a proven formula for creating smash hits.
Rihanna is slated to be very busy in 2018. She will be launching her new lingerie line Savage X Fenty on May 11, as well as starring as ‘8-Ball’ in the anticipated blockbuster Ocean’s 8, due out in cinemas on June 7th.
