Don’t get your hopes up too high…

Rumours are spreading that Beyonce and Jay Z might bring their On The Run II tour down under in early 2019. If true, it would easily be the biggest gig of the summer.

The possibility of the Carters continuing their massive world tour into 2019 would make a lot of sense. On the Run II is still currently scheduled to wrap up this year in October, ending in Europe and North America.

This would mark Beyonce’s first return to Australia since 2013 for her Mrs Carter World Tour and Jay’s since 2010 when he inexplicably toured with U2. Jay Z has dropped a few albums in the meantime, including the particularly confessional 4:44, while Beyonce has taken the world by storm. Queen Bey released her insanely successful Lemonade album, performed at the Superbowl half time show and recently headlined Coachella (or Beychella, depending on how you look at it), and she also had twins Sir and Rumi on top of all that.

However, everything should still be taken with a grain of salt at this point in time. Even though the Herald Sun guarantees a lock on the Carters, nothing has been officially confirmed. Still, that won’t stop us from crossing our fingers and hoping for the best.
