Not only have Seaside dropped their blow-your-haircut-away new track ‘We’re On Fire’, but the quartet have also wrapped a mammoth UK tour with Ocean Alley, playing on some huge stages, and introducing those (presumably sunburnt) pommy ears to their sweet alt-rock stylings. Now, with the tour in the can and two seconds to breathe, the group have shared the gritty video for ‘We’re On Fire’.
Shot and directed by Barclay Israel, the clip sees them take us to an undisclosed, underground carpark where the belt out the track with great fury. When we wrote about the ‘We’re On Fire’ the day that it dropped, we described it as a sonic gutpunch, and the video feels more like a mugging; intense, fast, and at times blurry. Of course, this is the kind of mugging you could get used to…
In other Seaside news, the band will be heading down to Sydney for a couple of shows in coming weeks. The first at Beach Road Bondi this Friday night, and the second at Vic on the Park in Marrickville on September 1st. Don’t sleep on these shows – if there’s anything this video has taught us, it’s that Seaside aren’t messing around. Also, check out their UK tour diary below:
