The last month-and-a-half has by far been one of the hardest periods for the country as a whole as well as that of live music. Now, countless artists that were just starting to get back on their feet are back to being without work, gigs and any form of paid work now reduced to hopes and prayers.
But as always, the innovative creatives that make up the Aussie music scene are already hard at work to make the best out of a bad situation, to support local artists and lovers of live music as we hold on through this crazy time. The legends behind Pop-Up Parties and Log Cabin Productions are just another crew just trying to do all of the above, and their latest venture in their Pop-Up Party Streams sees them putting pedal to the metal to spread the love between artists and their fans.

Born from the current disaster that has wreaked havoc across the local music scene, Pop-Up Parties have come through with a solution to a lot of the problems plaguing both artists and music fans in lockdown. The answer? A new live stream experience that sees the South Coast crew link up with some of the most promising artists in the local scene right now.
Ranging from Wollongong band The Terrys to Sydney-starlet RISSA to Aodhan and a bunch more yet to be released, Pop-Up Parties they’re committed to recreating the magic of gigs in the present moment, and they’re doing it in a pretty unique way. Computer-generated layouts, animated chat commands and even specially-tailored moments to make it all just a bit special, it’s an experience in every sense for the word. So much so that they raised over $700 on their first Twitch Stream with the Terry’s early last month, and they’ve been grinding ever since.
