We need a whole album from this pair…

Following a stacked summer that’s seen them make laps up and down the country, Freo band Spacey Jane have teamed up with Kiwi songstress BENEE for a reimagining of their classic tune, ‘Lots of Nothing’, along with an official visualiser.

Set to a vibrant mesh of green and blue, the song and visuals capture the laid back nature of the original track but with a poppy twist, with BENEE’s bouncy vocals helping to an added sense of levity. The soundscape as a whole has undergone a noticeable change up as well, with producer Kon Kersting adding a pop-focused tinge to the overall track. It makes for a solid alternative to the OG version while still maintaining the overall soul of the groove.

Speaking on their first ever collab, the Spacies explain, “Stella really took the lead on her verse, it’s new territory for us so we were lucky to have something we were really happy with from the start” with BENEE herself adding, “I love Spacey Jane and it’s always fun collaborating with ma Aussie mates hehe! We all met playing Laneway Fest, pre Covid, so I was stoked to be asked to jump on this track!  I really hope we can perform this remix live together!”
