Splendour meets Circular Quay…

It seems Splendour is trading grass for skyscrapers this coming July, the mega-festival announcing their new Sydney pop up in the form of Splendour In The City. Taking place across nine days from Saturday July 10 to Sunday July 18 in the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay, the bash seems to be a pretty worthwhile warm up while we gear up for of Splendour XR in late July, as well as Splendour In The Grass in November.

Featuring over 20 homegrown stars (Ocean Alley, Vera Blue and Tash Sultana just to name a few) along with a wide range of comedic acts (Nazeem Hussain, Lewis Hobba + more) it seems like there’s a little something for everyone at Splendour In The City. It’s even going so far as hosting its own art installations, markets and recreating a Sydney version of the famous Strummer Bar from the North Byron retreat; no doubt regular Splendour attendees will be able to more than recapture the fire of the Parklands in the harbour.

And just so we’re clear, Splendour In The Grass is still going planned to go ahead this coming November, with co-founder of Splendour in the Grass Jessica Ducrou saying “While we’re still working towards our Byron Bay event in November and are very grateful for the ongoing support from our Splendour community, we hope that the Splendour in the City pop up, alongside our recently announced Splendour XR virtual festival, will tide you all over in the meantime.”
