It’s time to whip out your calendars and start planning your sick leave, because Byron Bay’s favourite festival, Splendour in the Grass is coming back in 2018.

Over the years, the multi-day event has town to become Australia’s flagship event, and 2018 looks to continue the tradition from Friday, July 20 to Sunday, July 22.

This year, the festival will be held once again at the spacious North Byron Parklands. However, with Splendour’s time at the venue still on trial, organisers need your help to secure North Byron Parklands as the festival’s permanent home. You can click this link and make your voice heard.

As we reported earlier this year, Splendour may be lost to Queensland if it cannot continue at North Byron Parklands, with some expressing concern over pollution, traffic and general disturbance to Byron residents. However, if the festival lands permanently at its current location, organisers are looking to construct a bar, accomodation and reception in order to make it a premium festival site.

For now, we can enjoy Splendour at North Byron Parklands in 2018 – mark down the dates, it’s looking like a fun one.
