Organisers have announced that Ocean Alley will be heading up to North Byron Parklands in July.
Good news for those of you out there with Splendour 2019 tickets! Northern Beaches psych/surf rockers Ocean Alley have just been unveiled as the mystery act, which means they will get the chance to play the festival as Hottest 100 winners, just as Kendrick Lamar did last year.
In between now and Splendour, the lads are heading to North America for a six-week tour which they’re super keen on, for now. “Definitely looking forward to it, I think. We just haven’t played as many shows more recently so we’re looking forward to getting back into that, for sure,” guitarist Mitch Galbraith jokes.
Keeping a tight lid on the Splendour news wasn’t too easy either. “It was a little tough to keep it a secret. I’m not sure exactly for how long, but definitely at least a month.” The lads will be joining Chance The Rapper, Tame Impala, and more at this year’s sold out festival. Check out their latest below:
