One of Sydney’s favourite acts will soon be no more, with Sticky Fingers announcing an ‘indefinite hiatus’ to take effect from 2017.

Taking to Facebook, the Inner-West crew cited heightening internal issues as the cause of their decision, adding that “we’re going to try to finish the shows we have booked over New Years to the best of our ability – then the band will be going on an indefinite hiatus.”

The news comes just months after the band released their third album Westway (The Glitter & The Slums) – while they have also embarked on a sold-out headline tour and a massive slot on Splendour In The Grass’ ampitheatre in 2016.

The band are scheduled to perform at Lost Paradise and Beyond The Valley festivals over the 2016/2017 transition – let’s hope that they can keep together for one last hurrah over NYE.
