Hip Hop heads everywhere would absolutely lose it…

One good thing to come out of the shittiness of COVID-19 is without a doubt Verzuz, the Instagram series pitting some of hip hop’s greatest (and not so greatest) against each other for some good old fashioned competition and battling. With the new season set to begin later this month (T.I. vs Jeezy), co-creator Swizz Beatz has been hard at work drumming up potential match ups, and he just teased another battle that would be fucking unbelievable.

Speaking with DJ Capri on Instagram Live, the producer extraordinaire teased a battle between OutKast and A Tribe Called Quest, which is currently “pending.” Right after however he then admitted he may have been a bit quick in putting that out in the world and immediately went silent as to further details. But in dope fashion, he shouted out a member in each of the respective groups, saying “Q-Tip is my brother, but that man. Andre 3000, but that man,”

Man just imagine a battle between two of the greatest groups in hip hop history. Fingers crossed we get to see it real soon. Check out the full interview below.
