In a big middle finger to conservative politicians of the nation, Australians turned out in huge numbers to vote YES in the marriage equality survey, with 61% of more than 12.7 million people came together to support the rights of the gay community. There’s still work to be done to push the law through the parliament, but in the words of Opposition Leader Bill Shorten, “Today we celebrate. Tomorrow we legislate.”
So bust out the rainbow flags and glitter, and let’s dance the night away. Here’s some sweet parties worth checking out today.

Early bird YES voters have swapped morning coffees for cheeky cocktails at The Stonewall, with the party starting at 8:30am and running until late in the heart of Sydney’s Oxford Street strip.
