You can get pretty creative with stock footage these days. Thanks to the unending trove of grainy videos and films that are available on the internet, creating a clip out of old footage that works with your music has never been easier. That’s exactly what Kimono Drag Queens have done for their latest single ‘Zenniah’ – and we’re fully into it.
Using footage from an old Canadian documentary, the clip, which they say was largely unedited, fits the mood of the melancholic song nicely. “We downloaded footage from a free database, and it just seemed to work really well with the spacey vibes of the music,” keyboardist/singer Kellie Alison says.
