Two for the price of one!

Just two months out from his long-awaited return Down Under, king of the sadboys, Rex Orange County, has now announced the support act he’ll be bringing on the road with him. And thankfully, the chosen artist is not only very on par with Rex’s brand of quirky and intimate love songs, but is one that’s emerged as one of the most promising young songwriters in the country in recent years. Ladies and gents, prepare your bodies and ears (in this instance ears are a totally separate body part), as homegrown legend, grentperez will be opening for Rex at his Aussie shows.

Amassing millions of streams online and a dedicated fanbase both locally and abroad, grent has well and truly earned his stripes over the years, releasing a string of down to earth love songs that hit the perfect spot. Most recently, he released his debut album When We Were Younger, which featured crowd favourites like ‘Old With You’, ‘When The Day Is Done’ and ‘Silver Lining’ (‘Cherry Wine’ will always hold a special place in my heart however).

Anyone who’s been following grent for a while will know how big of a moment it is for old mate, with his many Rex Orange County YouTube covers copping millions of views online over the years. They’re partly responsible in helping him rise to prominence in the local music scene, so it seems only fitting that he open for Rex at his upcoming Aussie tour.
