On repeat.

After a year of re-releases and touring the U.S., psychedelic phenom Tame Impala has found time to treat us to a new single…

The latest offering comes in the form of ‘No Choice,’ a euphoric ballad that sees the ‘Patience’ singer double down on his Slow Rush inclinations, bursting synths and heavy autotune spread throughout as he continues his love affair with synth pop and soul.

In terms of accessibility however it still manages to be a pretty wide-appealing track to the Tame fandom as a whole, the track filled with all of the classic hallmarks of the Tame sonic palette throughout it’s nearly-four minute runtime. There’s also an extra gritty guitar solo toward the outro that harkens back to the Currents and Lonerism days, the distorted solo engaging in a call and response with his vocals as he sings about his lack of choice in extenuating circumstances.

The new single also comes as the psychedelic rocker gears up for the release of The Slow Rush Deluxe Box Set, which is set to land on February 18th. To top it off, he’s just announced a slew of North American dates, playing across the country before he ends 2022 back in Australia for his national tour with Genesis Owusu and Sycco.

Big times for the rocker and Tame fandom no doubt. Check out ‘No Choice’ above and be sure to buy/stream it here. You can also check out the upcoming dates for the Slow Rush tour around Australia next year below.
