Having performed the tune for Music From The Home Front, Tame Impala frontman has dropped an ‘official’ version.

Why does Kevin Parker wearing shoes feel a little weird? Who knows. But the Perth-raised rock icon is all shoed up and ready to go in his latest offering which dropped overnight: an acoustic version of The Slow Rush tune ‘On Track’. To be honest it’s also a little weird to see Kev performing stripped-back versions of anything, with his sound over the past few years especially becoming more and more ‘produced’ as he transitions from psych-rock explorer to pop-rock master.

Like most other musicians around the world, Parker has been laying low since COVID-19 hit, with the track recorded in his Perth home last month. What it lacks in camera work, it makes up for in performance, with Parker delivering the serenade that we all need right now:
