Homegrown hip hop powerhouses Tasman Keith and Kwame have teamed up for a brand new song in ‘ONE,’ and of course, it’s amazingly hard. Produced by Kwame and co-produced by Kapital J, the new tune sees the two MCs take aim at the haters, phonies and straight up assholes that get off on tearing other people down. And it’s got insane heat, with both rappers bringing pounding flows, hard AF bars, and wicked deliveries that throw it back to the glorious 2000s, the days where killers like Ludacris and Dipset reigned supreme.
The official video sees the two clad in super sleek suits as they sort through documents and spit in an interrogation-like room, again throwing it back to the iconic hip hop visuals of the 2000 with a grainy aesthetic and frenzied filming style. Soon the documents’ luck runs out, being completely ripped and thrown all over the shop as the two rappers pick up in heat and momentum, going absolutely ham as they lose themselves to rhythmic nirvana.
Speaking on the new track, Tasman remarks “ONE is our chance to not only show off and make one of the hardest tracks to date, but also bring attention to certain things in the industry that we feel are outdated.
“The energy is unmatched and to share the record with someone who I strongly consider top tier, is special and allows us to create such a moment. Big love to Kapital, Nikos as well, this song wouldn’t exist without them.”
The tune comes after a pretty wild 12 months for the two artists, who have dropped mixtapes, toured + collaborated with Midnight Oil and are now teaming up once again for what’s one of the most promising partnerships in Aussie hip hop.
