Having laid low since high-profile feuds with Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, the Southern pop star recently wiped her social accounts clean, before teasing her comeback throughout this week with a bunch of monochrome images. She also revealed that her new album Reputation will be released on November 10, and now the lead single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ is here.
It takes a darker, electronic route than Swift’s usual range of country-tinged singles – and we’re sure that plenty of people will have mixed feelings about her new direction. Swift herself heralds the change with a voicemail sound clip in the song that states “I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Because she’s dead.” Very dramatic.
