The 1975 have added a second Melbourne show to the Australian leg of their ‘At Their Very Best’ tour, which is set to hit Aussie shores in April of next year. The band will now play two successive concerts at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on April 11 and 12, in addition to their previously announced shows in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane.
The tour stop addition comes in response to massive demand for the rock band’s Australian shows, having sold-out their Sydney performance and today upgrading the venue for their South Australia date. The 1975 will now take to the larger Adelaide Entertainment Centre on April 10, before the two Melbourne stops and ahead of their broader New Zealand leg in late April.

The ‘At Their Very Best’ tour is in support of The 1975’s latest 2022, ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’, which was released earlier this month. The band’s fifth studio record marked their first to debut at Number 1 on the ARIA Charts, and was the source of frontman Matt Healy’s recent criticism of youth radio station triple j. “Play our music before you start licking our arse,” Healy wrote on Instagram in response to the station’s announcement of The 1975’s tour, “just cos you’ve finally realised we’re mint.”
