Unapologetic Compton ambassador The Game is returning to Australia for what will be his last tour Down Under, hitting five cities throughout September.

The West Coast rapper gained worldwide attention with his 2005 debut album The Documentary, which spawned club classics including ‘Westside Story’ and ‘How We Do’ alongside the then-flourishing G-Unit stable. Since defecting from the group, The Game has covered plenty of sonic ground with his extensive catalogue – collaborating with OG talents like Beanie Siegel and Nas, as well as producers as diverse as Dr. Dre, DJ Mustard and Skrillex.

Notably, he’s also responsible for one of the most famous sneaker shout-outs in rap history with his reference to the Air Max 95 in ‘Hate It Or Love It.’ He also featured one of Kendrick Lamar’s early standout verses back in 2011, with K.Dot delivering a rampaging acapella on ‘The City.’

The Game has plenty of material to pick from when he arrives here in September, with a stack of formidable albums under his belt including last year’s Compton-centric 1992. He’ll reportedly be releasing one final album titled Westside Story before hanging up the microphone.

The Game has visited Australia several times, including performing at the now-defunct Supafest in 2011. The last time we saw him headline The Metro Theatre he had about eight support acts and everyone was wearing red bandanas. Fun for the whole family!
